Family Kickboxing is unique in that we are the first and only real kickboxing club in Sudbury that focuses directly on our students wanting to get in
the best shape of their lives as quickly as possible. 

There are no "aerobic boxing" classes, no karate classes, no "boxing" classes or anything else that tries to pass itself off as real kickboxing. We are not "Jack of All Trades". We specialize in using Real Kickboxing to produce Real Results in all walks of life.

Through properly designed classes’ tailored to each student individually, weight loss, improved health, increased self-confidence, and of course looking great are all benefits we are pros at delivering.

Besides simply getting in great shape at any age, during your route to greater health and fitness, you will be learning real kickboxing.

What I mean by this is, instead of running on a treadmill to nowhere, you will be getting in shape while learning real kickboxing thus gaining additional skills like self-defence.

A mixture of cardio and power is added to each class to maximize your Total Body Workout!

We get incredible results with incredible workouts.

How to Get Started (no registration required):

1- To claim your Two Free Weeks, pick a class and jump in! Most people stick to classes made for beginners, which are MON-WED-FRI at 6pm.

2- Dress comfortably and come ready to have a blast!

3- You do not need any gear to enjoy your trial, we even have boxing gloves for you!

4- Most people are barefoot, but it is 100% preference, you can wear INDOOR shoes if you like.

5- See anyone at the front counter if you have any questions!

6- HAVE FUN!


*** No you do not need to spar or compete in any way!
There is NO SPARRING in BEGINNER CLASSES.
We have special classes for those who do. The majority of our students have no intention of  ever participating in the "full contact" side of the sport. There is no sparring in the regular classes! ***

"Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed Monday evening’s class at Family Kickboxing!

This being my first time doing the work-out, I wasn’t sure what to expect but I’d heard it was a great work-out and I knew it would be fun.

However, the class, as instructed by your father, exceeded my expectations!

The level of exercise was just right!  Though there were some more advanced pupils in the group,  I never felt intimidated or pressured to do more than I could.

The instructor was assertive where necessary, but very down to earth and approachable.

"Hey Al,
Great News Letter… As always..  You’re so creative.

It was nice that you threw some of the students into it. You do have many dedicated students.

I just wanted to mention my busy lifestyle… It was funny that you mention that, it is because of Family Kickboxing. Before “You” I was the biggest Couch Potato, busy being a Mom and not even thinking of me…I tried different things to get active but nothing interested me and then I was introduced to Kickboxing!


It was May 2006; I tried it with a bunch of girls. And from that moment on I was in love and hooked on the sport and had to do it. I was a little shy, yes me shy, just a little!  “Just go back a few years… I didn't’t talk at all.”  So I asked my son Niko to join with me and he said yes. So September 2006 we joined Family Kickboxing and my lifestyle of the Couch Potato was mashed, literally.  From that point on my lifestyle changed to a busy one of physical fitness. Who knew it could be so much fun. So from Family Kickboxing to working with a Personal Trainer, Yoga, Running a ½ Marathon and now my new venture of Roller Derby, it is all Thanks to Family Kickboxing.  Family Kickboxing is where I was able to gain the confidence that I could do anything. Maybe not be the best at it but I could certainly do it and have so much fun doing it.


Family Kickboxing is a GREAT name for your club. Not only because of the Great Family running it but you treat people like family.  Ray never judges anyone; he treats everyone the same good or the not so good. He knows that some people learn faster than others. And that is a great way to be, it keeps people coming back and new ones staying. I believe you too Al, have taken over that trait from your father. J That is what makes you great teachers.


This is the longest I have been away from Kickboxing in 4 years… Truthfully its killing me… You guys are my extended family. But with the vigorous training we must do to get Roller Derby ready for our first bout on Oct 2, sadly there is no time for Kickboxing… When it is over, I will be back so don’t forget about me and don’t let anyone take my bag… LOL

I would also like to Thank You for your support in Roller Derby and coming out to see us, that was super nice of you!!!!
